Account Manager - Midwest - Advanced Analytical

We're partnering with a global leader in lab automation and process measurement solutions. This organization, with a rich heritage in precision instrumentation, provides advanced analytical technologies to critical process industries worldwide. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking 3 Account Managers to promote their analytical product line across North America.

The Role

This technical commercial role supports both direct and channel sales teams by providing expert application knowledge for analytical instrumentation. You will be key in achieving revenue targets and acting as the technical liaison between customers, product management, and sales channels.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Meet or exceed annual revenue goals for the analytical product line.
  2. Provide expert technical support to sales channels and key accounts.
  3. Develop in-depth application knowledge for analytical solutions in target industries.
  4. Drive sales through developing customer solutions that differentiate from competitors.
  5. Engage with strategic accounts to develop new business opportunities.
  6. Enhance sales team capabilities through training and knowledge sharing.
  7. Collaborate with product management on regional needs and inventory planning.
  8. Lead promotional initiatives and support marketing collateral development.
  9. Review bid packages, assist with product selection, and negotiate projects.
  10. Develop comprehensive proposals, including technical specifications and pricing.
  11. Coordinate between customers and internal teams such as engineering, manufacturing, and QA.
  12. Follow up on new business leads generated from marketing campaigns.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. 5+ years in technical sales or applications engineering for process analytical instrumentation.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of analytical technologies (e.g., gas analyzers, liquid analyzers, spectrometers).
  3. Proven ability to support sales channels and develop key accounts.
  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  5. Professional demeanor with strong customer-facing skills.
  6. Experience in developing technical proposals and bid packages.
  7. Ability to interpret customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America.

Location: Remote (USA/Canada) with travel.
