Overview

This role involves territory penetration, sales & business development, and servicing of Safariland law enforcement equipment to end users and regional distributors within the Pacific Northwest region, including WA, OR, ID, AK, WY, & MT. A background in law enforcement or related fields is preferred. Ideal candidates are law enforcement officers with leadership or equipment evaluation experience (e.g., SWAT) considering a second career. The successful candidate will need to quickly learn agency sales cycles to identify, develop, and close opportunities across our product range including body armor, helmets, shields, tactical gear, communications, and holsters. Candidates must reside within the greater Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, or Boise, ID markets.

Responsibilities

  1. Achieve territory revenue goals and sales pipeline KPIs.
  2. Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate key agency customers.
  3. Train distributor personnel to facilitate sales and service of Safariland products.
  4. Partner with distributors to uncover and close law enforcement opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams on projects involving Business Units, Pricing, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Technical Specialists, and Marketing.
  6. Conduct agency discovery meetings, deliver sales presentations, and demonstrate products.
  7. Manage travel expenses within budget.
  8. Adhere to Safariland's Code of Conduct.
  9. Manage test and evaluation samples.
  10. Attend industry trade shows to generate new business and strengthen relationships.
  11. Report to the West Region Sales Director.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 2 years sales or related law enforcement industry experience.
  2. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  3. Up to 60% overnight travel required.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Strong financial and analytical skills.
  6. Ability to train, motivate, and work effectively with distributor sales teams.
  7. Ability to work with all organizational levels.
  8. Knowledge of distributor networks and bid processes.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications.
  10. Strong organization, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  11. Candidates must reside in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, or Boise, ID; applications outside these areas will not be considered.
