Clinical Specialist Role
Provide clinical demonstrations and instruction for the use of company products in pre-sale, implementation, and post-sale situations. This includes formal educational sessions, small-group, or individual presentations in patient-care areas throughout healthcare facilities. The goal is to gain or increase acceptance of the company's products and technology.
Responsibilities
- Deliver information through formal presentations to physicians and administrative customers, highlighting the clinical and financial benefits of the company's devices.
- Evaluate new products or enhancements to existing devices, providing feedback to Product Development and Marketing teams.
- Collaborate with customers to introduce, promote, and expand the usage of products within their facilities.
- Assist in collecting and sharing customer feedback and information.
- Represent the company at trade shows and educational meetings, completing all necessary reports.
- Provide product support and education to users in person, through in-service sessions, or via written and verbal communication.
- Continuously update knowledge of new developments in the market and company products to serve as a subject matter expert.
- Develop and share information with internal teams regarding customer acceptance issues during the pre-sale and evaluation phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or 6 years of successful sales experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of related medical device experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Maintain all relevant certifications and vendor credentials.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective educational and presentation skills across various settings, from one-on-one to large groups.
- Apply critical thinking to solve complex clinical problems.
- Strong command of English, with excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Proven influential skills and ability to follow through.
- Desire to participate in healthcare teams and anticipate patient and provider needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in developing presentation materials.
- Strong sales and business acumen.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and case management excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the endovascular or operating room space.
- Clinical acumen is highly preferred.
