Job Summary
The Interventional Technologies Account Manager will implement strategic and operational plans as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer and Regional Sales Director. The role involves representing our products to new and existing customers and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve daily sales objectives focusing on territory growth, including new account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning.
- Develop and execute quarterly business plans based on sales strategies tailored to existing and potential clients.
- Lead training and education initiatives during account launches.
- Present and implement Performance Guarantees in key accounts and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Regularly transfer account knowledge and other relevant information to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, the Quality System, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with clinical specialists and align team efforts around the business plan.
- Deliver clinical and economic presentations to customers, committee members, and staff.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including Key Opinion Leader (KOL) cultivation.
- Uphold high standards of ethics and professionalism in representing the company.
- Develop relationships with hospital administrative staff and negotiate corporate contracts when appropriate.
- Demonstrate extensive product knowledge and contribute to training, marketing, and competitive intelligence efforts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Thorough knowledge of the medical device market, products, and customer base.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant medical device sales experience is strongly preferred.
Skills
- Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency to meet objectives.
- Business acumen with experience in targeting and prioritizing key accounts.
- Ability to establish credibility and communicate effectively with clinical staff, administrators, and physicians.
- Emotional intelligence to manage schedules and resources efficiently.
- Experience in calling on interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, and hospital administrators.
- Strategic thinking, flexibility, and resourcefulness in achieving goals.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand for long hours and wear protective clothing in cath labs.
- Work primarily in hospitals, cath labs, and physician offices.
- Travel may be required.
