Job Summary:
The Haemonetics Account Manager, Interventional Technologies, is responsible for executing the strategic and operational plans as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer and Regional Sales Director. The role involves representing our products to new and existing customers and achieving sales quotas within an assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive daily sales objectives focusing on territory growth, including new account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning.
- Develop and execute quarterly business plans based on sales strategies tailored to existing and potential customer factors.
- Lead training and education during account launches.
- Present and implement Performance Guarantees in key accounts and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Regularly transfer account knowledge and other relevant information to the leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, the Quality System, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical specialists and align the team around the business plan.
- Deliver clinical and economic presentations to customers, committee members, and staff.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including Key Opinion Leader (KOL) cultivation.
- Represent the company ethically and professionally at all times.
- Develop relationships with hospital administrative staff and execute corporate contracts when appropriate.
- Maintain outstanding product knowledge and contribute to training, marketing, and competitive intelligence efforts.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of the medical device market, products, and customers.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant medical device sales experience is strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency to meet objectives.
- Business acumen and experience in targeting and prioritizing key accounts.
- Ability to establish credibility and overcome obstacles with clinical staff, administrators, and physicians.
- Emotional intelligence for effective scheduling and resource management.
- Experience calling on interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, and hospital administrators.
- Strategic thinking, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for long hours and wear heavy protective clothing in cath labs.
Work Environment:
- Hospital, cath lab, physician offices.
- Travel may be required.
