Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an Account Manager for the Chemical Solutions and Monitoring division. You will be the technical advisor, translating complex water treatment challenges into actionable, value-driven solutions for diverse industries.

You'll lead the design and optimization of treatment programs, manage strategic accounts, and drive revenue growth while upholding the highest safety and customer service standards. Travel required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) or minimum 8+ years in water treatment field.
• Chemical water treatment experience.
• 3+ years of technical sales experience with revenue growth and customer relationships.
• Experience with consultative selling and technical solution development.
• Full valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, build, and optimize chemical treatment programs for Cooling Water, Boiler Water, Wastewater, and Memchem applications.
• Conduct sample testing and deliver Technical Service Reports with recommendations to improve operations.
• Execute Account Management Excellence Program including Service Plans, Value Generation Plans and Business Reviews.
• Plan and communicate Veolia's Value Generation Plans to drive water and energy sustainability and asset protection.
• Meet annual revenue targets while managing margins, price escalations, and negotiations.
• Maintain a healthy sales funnel and secure new, recurring, profitable opportunities for year-over-year growth.
• Work safely following all EHS policies and procedures.

Join Veolia as an Account Manager in our Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) division and be at the forefront of innovation and sustainability! We're seeking an experienced Account Manager in our Chemical Solutions and Monitoring division to work closely with customers across diverse industries, creating advanced chemical water treatment solutions. You'll be more than a sales professional – you'll be a trusted technical advisor developing deep customer relationships while delivering creative solutions that improve energy and water sustainability, optimize profitability, and enhance asset protection.

What You'll Do

• Technical Innovation: Analyze, build, and optimize chemical treatment programs for Cooling Water, Boiler Water, Wastewater, and Memchem Applications
• Strategic Communication: Conduct sample testing and deliver Technical Service Reports that analyze customer data, interpret results, and recommend improvement initiatives to enhance customer operations
• Value Creation: Execute our Account Management Excellence Program including Service Plans, Value Generation Plans, and Business Reviews to demonstrate measurable customer value
• Sustainability Leadership: Plan and communicate Veolia's Value Generation Plans through projects that drive water & energy sustainability and improve asset protection
• Revenue Growth: Meet and achieve annual revenue targets while managing margin reviews, price escalations, and commercial negotiations
• Business Development: Maintain a healthy sales funnel and secure new, recurring, profitable business opportunities for consistent year-over-year growth
• Safety Excellence: Work safely at all times, following all EHS policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), preferred. Or minimum 8+ years of direct experience in the field and water treatment industry will also qualify, high school education is required.
• Chemical water treatment experience
• 3+ years of technical sales experience with demonstrated success in account management, revenue growth, and customer relationship building
• Experience with consultative selling and technical solution development
• A full valid driver's license and willingness to travel (a learner's permit or G1/G2 class will not qualify).
