The Partners Group currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced benefits and client service-focused professional to join our Portland, OR-based team as an Account Manager. This position is with our Group Physician Advisory Services (GPAS) division, a highly specialized consulting team focused exclusively on ancillary group benefits within the physician employer space.



How you will make an impact at TPG

As a GPAS Account Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of corporate accounts, coordinate projects, and deliver exceptional service to clients across benefits such as Group Life, Disability, Long-Term Care products, and more. You will be a key liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams, and you'll ensure accurate plan execution, clear communication, and client satisfaction. Your work supports high-quality benefit programs that make a meaningful difference for physicians and their employees.

A typical day in this role

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned corporate accounts, including direct physician interaction

  • Manage client renewals, open enrollment tasks, and vendor communications

  • Coordinate benefit meetings, compliance tasks, and reporting deliverables

  • Review contracts and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) in collaboration with team members

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements

  • Support internal systems, analytics coordination, project management, and special projects



Key details

Location: Portland, OR Metro area; ideally in-office with hybrid remote opportunities

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $80,000-90,000 annually (DOE)

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

Travel: Minimal overnight travel, such as client meetings (2-3 times per year, approx.)



What you'll bring to the table

  • 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration or marketing, or insurance, carrier/vendor roles

  • Strong knowledge of group Life, STD, LTD, and individual disability/LTC products

  • Active Health Insurance Producer or Consultant License (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Proven ability to manage projects and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment




What will make you really stand out

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Experience managing corporate accounts or working with physician groups

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Zywave, or other benefits platforms

  • Background in contract or Summary Plan Description (SPD) review

  • Strong mentoring and team collaboration experience

  • Comfort coordinating across multiple stakeholders

  • High attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving mindset
