Job Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for executing our business strategy at the customer level by enabling customer success and optimizing volume, revenue, and value-add growth for Eastman. To effectively accomplish this, the Account Manager must prioritize efforts across the territory, generate demand through discovery to uncover unmet needs, articulate compelling customer value propositions, and develop account strategies aligned with our business goals.

Location

The position can be home-based anywhere in the US, preferably on the East Coast or Midwest, and near an airport. Approximately 50% travel is required.

Responsibilities
  1. Create, develop, and execute Territory Management and account plans to maximize business growth based on detailed analysis.
  2. Generate and develop sales leads within the territory to close new opportunities and meet sales targets.
  3. Cultivate relationships across the value chain and within customer organizations beyond procurement, using consultative selling skills.
  4. Utilize effective techniques to protect and close new business, ensuring sales order values meet targets.
  5. Use Salesforce.com Opportunity Management to prioritize, track, and drive sales opportunities aligned with business strategy.
  6. Collaborate with internal resources to ensure opportunities are adequately supported for timely funnel progression.
  7. Develop market and customer insights to identify growth opportunities through analysis and collaboration.
  8. Leverage Salesforce.com CRM for documentation, collaboration, and analysis.
  9. Forecast based on customer and market insights to provide monthly volume guidance.
  10. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms of sales agreements where applicable.
  11. Tailor value propositions to clearly communicate customer benefits.
  12. Utilize public and business sources for competitive and customer intelligence to expand sales within the territory.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or science from an accredited university.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in consultative sales.
  3. Experience in developing and executing large account strategies and influencing across the value chain.
  4. Knowledge of amines, water treatment, oil, and gas is beneficial.
  5. Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce (SFDC).
