Job summary

Egan Company is seeking an Account Manager to join our Fire and Security Service team. The role manages a portfolio of existing accounts, pursues new business, and builds relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will meet sales targets, use CRM to track activities, and coordinate maintenance proposals. This position supports a hybrid work model and offers extensive benefits, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Experience in account management or sales with direct ownership of client accounts.
  • Experience within mechanical, electrical, or related industries preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers with main focus to include sales of planned maintenance agreements.
  • Foster long term relationships with customers, end users, key contractors and engineers.
  • Meet sales and gross profit goals with year over year growth and assist in future sales goals.
  • Use CRM software to prepare proposals and manage customer communications and activities; track sales activities and forecast opportunities in CRM.
  • Conduct site surveys and coordinate labor for preventive maintenance proposals; manage jobs as needed.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails for maximum customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Estimate solutions per plans/specifications and owner direct opportunities.
  • Write scope proposals based on estimates including repairs and small projects.
  • Promote all service offerings: mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building automation, door hardware, fire/security systems and monitoring.
  • Join and actively participate in trade groups; attend sales meetings and safety events.
  • Identify process improvements and opportunities to management.

Are you a natural relationship builder that values long term partnerships We are looking for a dedicated Account Manager to join our Fire and Security Service team The Account Manager is responsible for ongoing account management including directly managing a portfolio of existing accounts and acquiring new customers and is focused on building relationships with stakeholders at all levels regularly meeting with current and prospective customers understanding customer needs presenting solutions identifying sales opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers with main focus to include sales of planned maintenance agreements
  • Foster long term relationships with customers end users key contractors and engineers
  • Meet sales and gross profit goals with year after year growth and assist in the development of future sales goals
  • Use CRM software to prepare proposals and manage customer communications and activities; track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM
  • Conduct site surveys work with support staff to create preventative maintenance proposals coordinate labor for best results with service dispatch coordinators and manage jobs as needed
  • Respond to phone calls and emails for maximum customer satisfaction and sales
  • Estimate solutions per planspecification requirements and owner direct opportunities
  • Write scope proposals based on estimates including repairs and small projects
  • Promote all service offerings to include mechanical plumbing electrical building automation door hardware fire security systems and monitoring
  • Promote a positive safety culture and build strong internal partnerships; work collaboratively within a group and with other Egan groups to support Egans Mission Vision and Values
  • Advises other groups of additional sales potential and assists with promoting service planned maintenance agreements prior to job closeout
  • Approve accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner
  • Join and actively be involved in trade groups
  • Attend regular sales meetings and other required meetings
  • Attend monthly safety lunches and perform safety audits to promote a Stay Safe culture
  • Identify and communicate process improvements and other opportunities to management
  • Visit jobsites and customer sites regularly
  • Knowledge of the door industry is a plus
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • 1 3 years of account management or sales related experience is required including direct oversight or primary ownership of client accounts
  • Experience within the mechanical electrical or limited energy industries is preferred; direct trade experience working in the field is also a plus
  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record

  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Google applications

Performance of duties will be in the office home customer sites and job sites as needed Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time Exposure to loud noise dirt and exposure to the elements are to be expected on job sites along with climbing laddersstairs uneven ground bending kneeling and twisting

Hybrid Salary Range
  • 80000 per year base pay plus additional compensation through a commissionincentive program
  • This position is eligible for an auto allowance and gas card
  • Hybrid This role is eligible for our hybrid work model To ensure a strong start we ask for a minimum of 90 days in the office at the start to wrap your arms around the role build essential in person connections and gain the organizational knowledge needed for success before transitioning to our hybrid schedule
