Job summary

Towne Insurance in Franklin, VA is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to provide professional service to new and existing clients in a timely, accurate manner.

You will work closely with risk advisors and Towne personnel on client service, marketing, and renewal, ensuring customer satisfaction and high retention across carrier partners and internal teams. Proficiency with Applied Epic is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in commercial lines insurance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organization and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with risk advisors and other Towne personnel on client service, marketing, and renewal.
• Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and Towne colleagues, resulting in high account retention.
• Answers calls and inquiries about endorsements, cancellations, remarkets/rewrites, claims and other service requests.
• Uses sales and customer service skills to listen, build rapport, develop needs, provide solutions, and improve policy retention.
• Uses third-party systems for customer handling (e.g., carrier sites, Applied Epic).
• Ensures endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, finance agreements, certificates are handled accurately and timely.

Towne Insurance is hiring a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our Franklin, VA team. The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing professional service to new and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $45,000 to $60,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

About The Role

• Works closely with risk advisors and other Towne personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal.
• Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and Towne colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Answers telephone calls from insured customers and enquires about endorsement requests, cancellations, remarkets/rewrites, claims, and other service inquiries.
• Utilizes sales and customer service skills to listen effectively, build rapport, develop needs, provide solutions, and improve client policy retention.
• Effectively utilizes selected third-party systems for customer handling (e.g., carrier sites, Applied Epic).
• Ensure that all endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, finance agreements, certificates, and other customer requests are handled in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures.

Skills And Experience You’ll Need

A successful candidate will have an active P&C license or ability to obtain upon hire and prior experience in the commercial lines insurance industry, as well as the following:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Bonus Points If You Have

• 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management.
• Experience with agency management systems, preferably Applied Epic.
