Primary Job Role: Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers at the store or by phone.
Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog and emphasizes salable features.
Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
Maintains a schedule that maximizes the effectiveness of the time spent in the field and the office and provides this schedule to the Manager.
Tracks all quotes including jobs won, jobs pending, jobs lost, and jobs developing as required.
Continued pursuit of personal and professional growth and development within the industry.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional way in appearance and all interactions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; 1-2 years of experience.
Required / Credentials: Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or related equivalent experience desired.
Working Environment: Occasional exposure to stresses (less than 20% of the time).
Physical Demands: Varies by task, with some tasks requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lbs.
Environmental Conditions: Varies by task, including inside and outside conditions.
