The Opportunity

Abbott’s Cardiometabolic sales team seeks an Account Manager for the Northwest territory (WA/OR/N. ID and AK). The role involves managing the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Cardiometabolic product portfolio, focusing on point-of-care testing with Afinion (HbA1C and ACR) and Cholestech LDX analyzers. The position requires teamwork with Technical Consultants and Enterprise Account Managers, achieving sales targets, and developing customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Develop strategic sales plans for point-of-care opportunities.
  • Implement sales and marketing programs.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and contribute to regional growth.
  • Support complex sales with technical expertise.
  • Meet sales goals and manage territory budget.
  • Manage distributor sales force performance, training, and development.
  • Support distribution partners with training, sales meetings, and marketing.
  • Handle contract negotiations, pricing, proposals, and customer follow-up.
  • Resolve sales-related issues effectively.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in sales, marketing, business, or life sciences.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in medical diagnostics or B2B sales.
  • Experience working with distribution partners.
  • Strong sales techniques and strategy execution skills.
  • Proven success in point-of-care or capital equipment sales.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Contract negotiation experience.
  • Background in complex or strategic selling.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders.

The base salary ranges from $66,700 to $133,300, depending on location and experience.
