A leading insurance agency in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Account Manager specializing in Boat/Yacht Insurance. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of client management experience and a valid P&C license. Compensation ranges from $51,000 to $65,000 plus bonuses and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with underwriters
• Leveraging boat/yacht P&C insurance knowledge and expertise to actively bind incoming new business opportunities and service existing accounts
• Fostering an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carrier underwriters
• Assess eligibility of potential clients by phone or email based on underwriting guidelines
• Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including but limited to survey data and loss history
• Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information
• Conduct regular follow up calls and emails with customers to communicate and clarify details of coverage and respond to inquiries

Qualifications

• Valid P&C license
• 5–7 years’ experience of Personal Lines client management experience
• Extensive knowledge of Boat/Yacht Lines coverage, rate analysis/procedures

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $51,000 to $65,000 plus discretionary bonus. The total compensation package may also include benefits, vacation, holidays, and other elements dependent on the position offered.
