Location: Netherlands - Remote
Position Summary
The Account Manager will be responsible for expanding and managing the Bio-Techne portfolio across the BioPharma market in the Netherlands, covering the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Contract Research sectors. In close collaboration with Analytical Instrument and Genomic Specialists, you will deliver high-value support to customers by providing unique solutions across their entire research and product development workflow.
You will develop deep insights into customer needs and market trends, empowering you to drive strong growth and expand market share.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for the growth of the full Bio-techne portfolio within BioPharma accounts throughout the Netherlands
- Build a high level of understanding of our products and delivering value through a solution-based approach
- Identify and develop Executive level relationships to drive key partnership opportunities
- Identification of prospective customers to engage and initiate discussions, via multiple touch points including face to face meetings, email, phone, and social media.
- Territory plan development for the Netherlands as well as business plan development for each key account within the territory
- Understand the full pharmaceutical workflow and network throughout the Netherlands.
- Using Industry knowledge, aim to initiate workflow discussions early in the planning phase of product development.
- Build and strengthen your network and relationships within the customer organisation
- Understanding customer goals, focus, budgets, needs, preferences, and their influencers
- Work closely with our product specialist teams to develop Account Specific Strategies and capitalise of highest potential accounts, including set up of joint visits and Bio-Techne workshop days.
- Utilise commercial data to drive revenue generating activities, ability to identify key areas of focus and justify this focus.
- Be present within local industry networks representing Bio-Techne
- Awareness of customer views on competitor products
- Work with Marketing to execute specific campaigns as part of the strategy.
- Forecasting revenue on monthly and quarterly basis to the Territory Business Manager
- On occasions represent the company and network at domestic and international conferences
- Spend up to 75% of Time leading on site customer visits.
Essential Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in a Life Science discipline or closely related field, M.S., Ph.D. or M.B.A. a plus.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Life Science Sales with deep knowledge in BioPharma sector with a track record of strategic planning and achieving targets
- Proven ability to independently develop and execute winning strategies in a competitive, target-driven environment.
- Skilled in leveraging digital platforms and financial analysis to monitor ROI and KPIs, with strong accountability for achieving financial targets.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communicator who listens carefully and builds strong, cross-functional relationships to meet customer needs and enhance team dynamics.
- Fluent in both English & Dutch
