Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

Remote | Supporting our Gainesville, GA Branch | Book Focus: Franchised Dealerships, Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution, Cyber

About the Role:

Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, Producer, and/or assigned group of accounts. Work with minimal supervision from an Account Manager (AM), Account Executive (AE), or Producer, ensuring standards are met while minimizing liability. Independently resolve moderately complex customer service issues and manage smaller or less complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
  • Assist in directing daily activities and workflow of team support staff.
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, perform loss run analysis, prepare submissions, evaluate and negotiate coverages and pricing, present proposals, bind coverage, and follow up on policy issuance.
  • Process tasks accurately within required timeframes.
  • Review contracts to ensure proper coverages.
  • Monitor reports and follow up on delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate regularly with the account team about workload and issues.
  • Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond promptly.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  • Adopt best practices for performance improvement.
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of customer service experience in insurance.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active licensing required; professional designation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
