Job summary

The Chemico Group is seeking an Account Manager to grow sales of specialty paint maintenance chemicals, services, facility support chemicals and lubricants in Indiana/Ohio.

You will identify opportunities, call on new and existing customers, quote proposals, run trials, provide product training, coordinate with service teams, and ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three years of experience in a business-to-business sales, sales support, or account management environment with industrial clients.
  • Proficient with computer and MS Office.
  • Previous experience with automotive and industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for growth of Chemico products and services.
  • Solicit to new customers to gain sales of Chemico goods/services.
  • Work with existing clients assigned to maintain volumes of current goods/services.
  • Manages entire sales cycle for new business opportunities from development through close.
  • Networking for new customers opportunities.
  • Performing sales calls to new customers and developing quotes/proposals according to company defined standards to obtain new business.
  • Provide and oversee product trials at customer sites to demonstrate product performance and train on proper use.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in potential customer accounts.
  • Oversee all Chemico product sales at client locations to ensure proper use, updates SDS’s, safe operator usage, delivery, and customer satisfaction with Chemico.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources for sales objective.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with customer key personnel to develop strategic solutions.
  • Learn product, good and services offerings through staff training and site visits.
  • Build relationships with new & existing clients to solidified Chemico Brand in Market.
  • Coordinate new customers with accounting new set up of paperwork for terms & conditions for Chemico to conduct business
  • Coordinate customer service, product or any changes with proper Chemico staff to ensure no interruption in service, product flow or activates with clients
  • Effectively communicates sales activities through updating of CRM tool and attendance of sales meetings

Account Manager- Location in and around Indiana/ Ohio

The Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and maintaining and expanding sales to designated existing customers for a broad group of products and services including specialty paint maintenance chemicals services, facility support chemicals and lubricants, and chemical management. Responsibilities involve developing and calling on new leads, quoting, trials, presentations to customers, testing, show by example test cleaning, performing physical activities to support customer service & sales. Additional aspects involve problem solving, team cooperation, operate independently and with a team as well as chemical knowledge to support customers. Must have good interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position requires travel – some overnight
  • This position may require off-hour (nights and weekend) support.
