Job summary

TRS-RenTelco - A Division of McGrath in is seeking an Account Manager to sell to customers from a home office with on-site visits across Northern California and nearby states. The role combines inside collaboration, customer education, and territory management to meet revenue targets.

You will develop opportunities with OEM partners, maintain relationships, and participate in product trainings while traveling 25%–50% as required. A strong background in B2B sales and electronics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Organized, detailed and accurate with high-level computer skills.

• Strong communication of customer requirements to internal teams.
• Sales experience calling on customers and developing relationships (3+ years).

Account Manager

Full Time Regular Sales Workers Hayward, CA, US

Salary Range: $140,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually

The specific pay rate and level will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location.

*Remote – working from home office when not out visiting customers. Must live in Northern California, Oregon, or Washington area to be able to meet onsite with customers. Overnight travel is expected to be 25% up to 50%.

The successful candidate will educate and advise clients on our products and services, work closely with an inside sales partner to grow business, and maintain customer relationships. Working out of your home office, this position requires extensive customer interface at various levels to determine requirements, provide accurate product information and to make sure we do things right the first time, every time.

“What You’ll Do”

• Work closely with customers to provide solutions for short to long term testing projects utilizing both operating and capital budgets
• Uncover new business opportunities working with customers and OEM partners
• Follow ethical business practices in compliance with established company policies and procedures
• Participate in sales and product training programs
• Update customer activities and records in the company CRM
• Manage territory to develop/maintain client relationship through the use of telephone, electronic communications and face to face meetings
• Educate and advise clients of TRS-RenTelco on products and services, generating opportunities
• Work effectively with inside sales team partners and support to achieve monthly revenue targets
• Strategic planning of territory activities to implement and execute TRS-RenTelco go-to-market strategy
• Perform other duties as assigned

“Must Haves”

• Organized, detailed and accurate with demonstrated high-level computer skills including MS Office tools
• Demonstrated selling and closing skills
• Knowledge of rental and lease practices
• Ability to work independently and from a home office
• Effectively communicate customer requirements to relevant departments within TRS-RenTelco
• Sales experience calling on customers, prospecting and developing/maintaining relationships for at least 3 or more years
• Technical work or sales experience in electronics and/or micro-computers and services is preferred
• Valid Driver's License

• BS degree preferred or equivalent experience

• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will involve work with customers where an active U.S. Security Clearance is needed.

• Ability to work in both office and field environments, including customer locations, inventory centers, and construction sites.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs or ladders, and navigate uneven terrain during customer visits and site inspections.
• Ability to drive and travel locally and regionally to meet with customers, prospects, and internal teams.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, move, or set up sales materials, product samples, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit, view computer screens, and use computers, tablets, mobile devices, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to visually inspect customer sites, equipment, storage/office containers and/or modular buildings and use computers, tablets, or mobile devices to document physical observations and project requirements.
