Job summary

White Cap in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ, is seeking an Account Manager to build relationships with mid-size contractor accounts and drive sales. This on-site role requires a proven track record in outside sales and strong knowledge of White Cap products and services.

You will generate leads, develop profitable account plans, and work with internal teams to achieve quotas while maintaining exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of sales experience.
• Outside sales experience with professional contractors.
• Familiarity with White Cap products and services.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships and develops plans to increase sales and profitability for mid-size accounts.
• Generates sales leads and prospects through research, events, networking, vendor programs and related activities.
• Develops and executes profitable business plans with sales teams and key personnel.
• Attains assigned sales quota, gross margin and controllable expense objectives.
• Interacts with customers, vendors, and staff to resolve issues.
• Maintains product knowledge and applies it when servicing customers.
• Maintains and submits all required sales reports and attends company meetings.
• Operates a Company or Personal Vehicle; MVR check may be required.

• Builds relationships and develops plans to increase sales and profitability for mid-size accounts.
• Generates viable sales leads and prospects through market and account research, sales events, networking, vendor events and computer programs. Contacts assigned and prospective accounts to secure new business.
• Develops and executes profitable business plans for managing accounts. Teams with individuals within sales and key corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
• Accountable for attaining assigned sales quota, part margin and controllable expense objectives.
• Interacts with customers, vendors, and associates to resolve customer and service related issues.
• Maintains a current and competent base of product knowledge and applies that knowledge when servicing customers.
• Maintains and submits all required sales administration reports. Regularly attends company meetings.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Outside Sales to professional contractors.
• Familiarity with Company products and services.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Pay Range $50,000 - $80,000 + This position’s targeted base salary is $37,000 per year. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation with a starting target of $80,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data.
