Job summary

Radiant Road & Rail seeks an Account Manager to build long-term relationships with Radiant network stations and clients, focusing on service excellence and value creation. You will work with operations to meet product and service expectations while driving continuous improvement.

You will partner with capacity, product, and supply teams to implement strategic solutions, manage pricing, and communicate customer needs across multiple offices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or International Trade preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of account management experience.
  • Experience with FTL/LTL and domestic transportation.
  • Knowledge of North American geography and transportation/logistics industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships across multiple levels and departments to penetrate Radiant network stations and accounts.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities and retain/grow business.
  • Collaborate across geographies to execute account strategy and price discussions.
  • Monitor performance reports and adjust pricing to drive efficiency.
  • Provide customers with transition plans, timelines, and opportunities for automation.

This role partners closely with operations to ensure product and service expectations are consistently met and drives continuous improvement while articulating customer value across multiple offices and geographies.This role operates with a high degree of independence and regularly exercises discretion in daily decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & GrowthBuild relationships across multiple levels and departments to penetrate Radiant network stations and accountsConduct regular business reviews using internal data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and retain/grow business throughout strategic solutionsCollaborate with and influence station and account team members across geographies and divisions to execute account strategyApply strategic negotiation and sales tactics for complex, management-level pricing and solution discussionsShare customer-specific data, requirements, and expectations with internal teams to build viable solutionsMonitor financial, volume, and service performance reports, adjusting pricing and processes to drive efficiencyInterpret internal/external data and market intelligence to deliver business insights that improve outcomesStay current on changes within stations, customers, and the industry to identify new opportunitiesCustomer ServiceServe as the primary point of contact for stations and customers within an assigned portfolioManage conflict and navigate difficult conversations with tact and diplomacyAdvocate internally for customer-specific needs, ensuring proper alignment and resource prioritizationPartner with the capacity/product/supply team on strategic solutions for complex issuesEngage internal leadership to ensure alignment and participation in account strategyPartner with operations and supply teams to ensure execution through SOPs, best practices, and agreed-upon KPIsProvide customers with holistic transition plans, including timelines and automation opportunitiesBuild trusting relationships through consistent execution and timely issue resolutionPricingManage pricing strategy based on a clear understanding of each customer's buying habitsUse internal tools and resources to determine station and customer pricing strategyPerform other duties and assignments as requiredQualifications & SkillsEducation and Industry KnowledgeHigh school diploma required; Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or International Trade preferredMinimum 1 year of account management experienceFull Truckload (FTL) and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) experienceDomestic transportation experienceFTL quoting experience a plusStrong knowledge of North American geographyTransportation/logistics industry experience an assetTechnical SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with intermediate Excel skills (formulas, graphs)Working knowledge of CRM systemsWorking knowledge of Transportation Management Software (e.g., Revenova, SAP, Salesforce) is an assetCore CompetenciesStrong customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skillsStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skillsHighly organized, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAnalytical, detail-oriented, and collaborativeAbility to read/interpret documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence; write routine reportsWork Schedule & EnvironmentFull-time, minimum 8 hours/day with flexibility as neededMinimum 3 days/week in Radiant office; remote otherwise (subject to change)Standard office environment; moderate noise levelPhysical demands: walking, sitting, hand/finger dexterity, reaching, talking/hearing; close, distance, and peripheral visionCompensation & BenefitsCompensationBase Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience and market).Commission Plan: Uncapped commissions tied to new business gross margin and overall portfolio performance.
