This Position reports to:

Region Sales Manager - Western USAYour role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our installed base and gaining new market share for process control customers in Process Automation ENERGY in the IA, MN, NE, SD, ND, WY, MT territory. Reporting to the Western Regional Sales Manager, you will coordinate your sales activities, creating added value for the customer and ABB, by creating and selling process control, power management, excitation power/controls, digital analytic and cyber security engineered solutions. Our ENERGY segment consists of Utility, Oil, Gas, Chemical, Alternative Fuels, Pharma, and Water/Wastewater.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
  • Gaining new Logo's and converting competitive installed base customers to ABB process automation.
  • Providing solutions for customer businesses that are in line with our volume, mix and profitability targets.
  • Selling "Customer Care Contracts" aimed at enhancing the customers' aftermarket experience.
  • Drive Action Plans and Pursuit Plans to gain competitive market share.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field or 3+ years of experience in customer facing and/or control, power, digital technology roles is desired.
  • Proficiency in CRM and MS office suite.
  • Expertise is networks and Digital Solutions is a PLUS.
  • Experienced in Strategic Selling or demonstrating clear understanding of valued solutions selling to targeted customer account.
  • Understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Logic Controllers (PLC/SCADA), Power Management (Medium and Low Voltage power packages)
  • Experience with Software services, Cyber Security solutions and architecture, Field Service Contracts, etc.
  • Must be able to legally drive vehicle.
  • Travel required - 50%
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
