Job summary

Grassi seeks an Account Manager for our Denver, CO office to oversee the accurate preparation of financial statements for a portfolio of clients. This role starts onsite five days a week with a path to a hybrid schedule, three days in the office.

You will be the primary client contact, manage monthly data, and drive quality accounting with Restaurant365 expertise. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping, 3+ years with Restaurant365, and strong communication skills to service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience.
  • 3+ years in Restaurant365 and/or currently working.
  • Experience leading, training, or overseeing accounting staff.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for assigned clients.
  • Review income statements and manage monthly client checklists.
  • Maintain general ledger, accruals, and monthly adjustments.
  • Serve as primary contact for assigned clients and queries.
  • Utilize Restaurant365 to support client accounting and reporting needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting practices.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our team in our Denver, CO office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing firm.

This position is fully onsite (five days per week) during the initial onboarding period with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule (three days per week in the office).

The Bookkeeping Account Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements for a set number of the Company’s clients. The Account Manager will oversee the client service for their clients and be the single point of contact for client questions and requests. This position will contribute to a high performing, collaborative team culture and model of Grassi’s values and behaviors. The Account Manager reports directly to the Accounting Team Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Reviewing all income statements monthly and preparing monthly client checklist and sending to all clients to ensure they have accurate monthly data
  • Reviewing general ledger accounts monthly and making monthly accruals and adjustments
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of Restaurant365 (R365) and utilizing the platform to support client accounting and reporting needs
  • Providing feedback and support to internal teams
  • Supporting accurate chart of accounts mapping
  • Identifying data quality issues and errors, investigating data discrepancies and escalating
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities that expand and improve practices and services
  • Performing other accounting activities as required
  • Demonstrating firm core values consistently

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • 5+ years or more of full-cycle bookkeeping related experience
  • 3+ years in Restaurant 365 and/or currently working
  • Demonstrated experience leading, training, coaching, or overseeing accounting staff
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, accruals, adjustments, and financial reporting
  • Experience with restaurant, franchise, or multi-unit clients is required
  • Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks, and/or Xero is a plus
  • Demonstrates a passion for bookkeeping, client servicing and seeing accurate results
  • Must have the highest attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead and collaborate with others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organization, planning and time management skills
