Job summary

Fortrex, Inc. is seeking an Account Management Division Manager to lead a field team across food processing plants in a defined territory.

This traveling role combines team development with achieving sales goals and strong customer service, requiring hands-on leadership and strategic planning. You will oversee Account Management Area Managers and Territory staff, drive cost efficiency, and expand the business while maintaining safety and quality standards across North America.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a sales team in food processing or related industries.
• Strong managerial skills including decision-making and conflict resolution.
• Proven ability to expand business in assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with key plants in the geographical area to ensure day to day processes are being performed effectively and efficiently.
• Manage the approval process for expenses of territory personnel.
• Supervise a team of Account Management Area Managers and Account Managers to achieve stated goals and serve our customers with excellence.
• Consistently seek ways to reduce cost and increase efficiency for the company and our customers.
• Constantly finding new business expansion in the geographical area assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is a traveling position that is responsible for leading a team in an assigned territory which includes food processing plants in a set region.

JOB DESCRIPTION

YOUR MUST HAVES:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Associate's degree or 7-10 years in sanitation/food processing industry.
• Area Manager or equivalent experience (18 months experience at this level preferred).
• Display strong managerial skills including decision-making and conflict resolution.
• Maintain integrity, honesty, initiative, and customer focus.
• Proficient computer skills associated with Microsoft Office and basic skills required to learn new programs.
• Possess a valid and active driver’s license.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Work experience or education in Food & RTE Processing Operations, Quality Assurance, or Sanitation.
• Previous experience in leading a sales team in the Food, Beverage, Dairy, and RTE industry.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to wet, hot, cold, various shifts, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Frequently (role requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)

- Stand, walk, sit, reach outward, squat/kneel, bend. Lift/Carry 11-50 lbs & push/pull 13-40 lbs.

Constant (role requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)

- Use of fingers and hands. Lift/Carry 10 lbs or less & push/pull 12 lbs or less.

Occasional (role requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)

- Climb & crawl. Lift/Carry 51+ lbs & push/pull 41-100 lbs.
