Position Overview

The Associate Account Follow-Up Representative is an entry-level role within the Patient Accounts department. Responsibilities include resolving patient account balances, assisting with reimbursements, handling inbound and outbound calls, managing self-pay and insurance accounts, and administering financial assistance programs. The role serves as a key contact for patients, payers, and representatives, ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliation of account details.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare-related call center, registration, or collections
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, Explanation of Benefits, ICD coding, and contract terms
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in data entry, MS Office, and online research tools
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and maintain productivity
