More than 50% of the time, an Account Executive works “on the road”, engaged in sales activity away from the office or home office. Typical sales activities include meeting with clients or borrowers outside the office to originate loans or conducting promotional activities to support their sales. Tasks done inside an office, over the telephone or via computer do not count towards exempt status. No more than 20% of their time is dedicated to activities not related to outside sales.

Duties include:

  • Engage with client and prospective client database through multiple channels including phone, email, direct marketing, and social media tools
  • Communicate and develop relationships with operations and fulfillment team members
  • Maintain industry knowledge and enhance expertise through training, industry publications, and lending bulletins
  • Be a subject matter expert on the organization’s lending policies, procedures, products, and technology
  • Conduct group presentations over phone/video to promote the organization’s value proposition and showcase our process, product, and technology platforms
  • Provide excellent service through disciplined follow-up and guidance to broker partners
  • Demonstrate strong sales skills and knowledge of mortgage lending
  • Coordinate with account managers to ensure production goals are met
  • Participate in broker training and stay updated on company processes and guidelines
  • Assist new brokers with Lead+ approval process to conduct business with Lead+
  • Educate brokers on loan products, pricing, and contact points, and communicate with prospective and existing brokers
  • Maintain daily communication with accounts to ensure satisfaction

Depending on experience and location, the Account Executive may be classified as outside sales exempt or non-exempt and paid minimum wage plus commissions on closed sales. Our compensation structure allows earning potential based on performance.

Qualifications:

  • Recent experience as an Account Executive in Wholesale Lending
  • Proven production history and established broker relationships
  • Strong knowledge of non-QM paper and second lien programs
  • Excellent networking and negotiation skills
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and disciplined
  • Quick learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to work remotely, maintaining and growing relationships via phone, email, or in person if local
