Position Overview

This position is intended to sell Ultrasound imaging systems, options, and service contracts to prospective and existing customers in their assigned territory.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work with Regional Managers to develop a calling strategy to maximize territory coverage and sales.
  • Prospect new customers and relationships in the hospital and private outpatient market to sell equipment and service contracts.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and cross-sell additional products and options.
  • Collaborate with Hospital Relations Manager, National and Government Accounts to develop relationships and implement hospital selling strategies with hospitals within hospital chains, IDNs, GPOs, the VA and Military Centers.
  • Work with Sales Administration to generate quotes for new equipment and option sales.
  • Work with Product Managers to conduct product demonstrations and clinical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
  • Coordinate with Ultrasound Marketing to develop business plans and market assessments for presentation to prospective and existing customers.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge and technical skills pertaining to Fujifilm ultrasound products and services.
  • Provide timely feedback on competitive products, pricing, and changing market trends.
  • Report all account contacts of active accounts and prospects in the CRM tracking system.
  • Assist as required in the collection of accounts receivable, renewal of service contracts, and resolution of product performance issues.
  • Stay current on industry trends and developments.
  • Attend RSNA and other local industry trade shows to develop sales leads and new relationships.
  • Comply with FDA medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Comply with vendor credentialing requirements to gain access to hospitals and facilities.
Qualifications

Experience

  • 4+ years of sales experience in the hospital market, preferably selling diagnostic imaging equipment or related peripheral devices into the surgical space.
  • RDMS is desired.

Educational Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communication, Life Sciences or related field required.

Certification/Licensure

  • Certification through ARRT or ARDMS is required. Certification in multiple disciplines (e.g., CT, Mammography) is preferred.

  • Strong ability to sell based on customer need; excellent sales presentation skills; ability to overcome objections; quick learner of new products and services.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels including C-Level, Radiology Managers, Radiologists, and Technicians; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Develop long-term business relationships; strong listening skills; collaborate with other departments to support customers.
  • Structure sales to meet customer requirements including product specifications and price; resolve problems promptly.
  • Manage multiple projects; organize work and support staff as needed.
  • Desire to succeed; promote teamwork and customer service.
  • Monitor and maintain required reports (call tracking, order tracking, expenses).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Access to a late-model automobile for business use; valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Physical requirements

The position may require the following physical capabilities:

  • Usual office and clinical working conditions; ability to drive a full-size commercial van.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted into an ultrasound van; push/pull ultrasound systems weighing up to 350 pounds on casters.
  • Frequent sitting, talking, or listening; manual dexterity to operate devices; typing and other fine motor tasks.
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching; close, distance, and depth vision; ability to use transportation as needed.
Travel
  • Frequent travel up to 75% may be required based on business need.
