Job Description:

THE JOB / Account Executive (Sponsorship Analytics & Operations) (Payment Services Client)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

Octagon is seeking an Account Executive to support the management, analysis, and optimization of sponsorship assets, operational processes, and reporting across a global portfolio of client programs. This role is highly focused on data analysis, asset management, reporting, and operational excellence, requiring an individual who enjoys working with large datasets, identifying trends, solving complex problems, and transforming data into actionable business insights.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and process management skills, with experience developing reports, maintaining data integrity, and supporting business decision-making through accurate and insightful analysis. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, ownership, and accountability, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

While this role supports some of the worlds leading sports, entertainment, and lifestyle sponsorships, it is primarily an operations and analytics-focused position rather than an event activation or partnership marketing role. Successful candidates will be energized by data analysis, reporting, process management, system administration, and operational excellence, while contributing to the successful execution of global sponsorship programs. Individuals primarily seeking event activation, partnership sales, marketing strategy, or athlete/talent management opportunities may find this role less aligned with their career interests.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO
  • Own the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of sponsorship asset utilization data across a global portfolio of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle properties.
  • Maintain and enhance large datasets used to track contractual rights, ticket inventory, hospitality usage, property assets, and sponsorship fulfillment.
  • Develop, automate, and distribute recurring reports, dashboards, and analytical summaries that support client decision-making and operational planning.
  • Analyze asset utilization trends, identify data inconsistencies, and proactively recommend solutions to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sponsorship asset management systems, supporting users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity across platforms.
  • Partner with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure sponsorship data is accurately captured, maintained, and reported.
  • Perform detailed audits of sponsorship assets, ticket inventories, and fulfillment records to ensure compliance with client agreements and internal processes.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and analytical reports that translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Help with the management of the online system used to upload assets, track, manage and fulfill orders.
  • Manage and participate in weekly status meetings by creating agendas, participating in the discussion, providing recap summaries, and discussing upcoming events, platform updates and ongoing projects.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and process improvements that increase operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage multiple reporting cycles simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices, documentation, and operational standards across the Sponsorship Operations team.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, operations, reporting, consulting, finance, marketing analytics, sponsorship operations, or related analytical discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reporting automation, and large dataset management.
  • Demonstrated experience transforming raw data into meaningful business insights and executive-level reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and quality control.
  • Experience managing large datasets, conducting audits, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to independently prioritize multiple projects, manage competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience creating client-facing reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance summaries.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools, data visualization platforms, CRM systems, asset management systems, or database environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools, automation platforms, or advanced analytics technologies to improve reporting efficiency and business insights is highly desirable.
  • Interest in sports, entertainment, media, sponsorships, or brand partnerships is a plus; however, strong analytical and operational capabilities are considered more critical than industry-specific experience.
  • Impressive work ethic with the initiative to constantly go above and beyond.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, is a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel: Low (0-15%).
