Job Overview

The Account Executive, SMB Team Sales role at T-Mobile is designed for ambitious, results-driven sales professionals passionate about building stellar customer relationships and bringing T-Mobile's unmatched products and services to underserved markets.

This is a true hunter role involving meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas by acquiring new accounts with small and medium-sized businesses (1-299 employees). You will sell products, services, and solutions, using prospecting, cold-calling, door-knocking, networking, and lead generation. You will analyze customer needs, apply solution-based selling techniques, and negotiate to close business.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead Generation: Generate and work leads through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under sales manager supervision.
  2. Customer Needs: Identify customer needs and demonstrate T-Mobile's value. Recommend wireless solutions, including price plans, data services, handsets, and accessories.
  3. Deal Negotiation: Negotiate and close deals.
  4. Skill Development: Develop prospecting, call execution, and relationship management skills. Participate in product training and sales meetings.
  5. Sales Approaches: Create effective sales strategies, solutions, and proposals.
  6. Customer Base: Maintain and grow your customer base within a territory model.
  7. Sales Automation: Use sales force automation tools, manage your sales funnel, and report on activities and forecasts.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 1+ years of verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience, preferably in a commissioned environment (Preferred)
  • Outside B2B sales experience (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Task Management: Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment (Required)
  • Customer Service: Experience delivering superior service (Required)
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral skills (Required)
  • Negotiation: Effective closing and negotiation skills (Required)
  • Cold Calling: Ability to cold call/door knock (Preferred)
  • Prospect Management: Experience guiding leads from initial contact to conversion (Preferred)
  • CRM: Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce (Preferred)
  • Proposal Writing: Experience preparing and following up on proposals (Preferred)

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $71,800 - $129,400, including incentives. Base Pay Range: $43,080 - $77,640. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Employees in sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly incentives.
