A day in the life.

As our Account Executive, Select on our Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll dive deep into understanding the unique needs of our clients and the industries they operate in. You maintain strong relationships, and quarterback service strategies for our small group (under 100 lives) clients. Your role will involve analyzing client exposures, communicating our unique value proposition, and ensuring that our service platform delivers measurable value. You will also work with a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • 5+ years industry experience with an in-depth working knowledge of employee benefit plans, current health care trends, and underwriting and financial techniques
  • Establishes the growth and retention strategy for a book of business and monitoring implementation
  • Cultivates and expanding relationships with new and existing clients
  • Provides needed information, creative solutions and resolution of client issues
  • Demonstrates a high level of consistency between words and actions across all business situations.
  • Marketing and negotiating coverage, terms and premium and fostering carrier relationships
  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of insurance coverages, their applicability, various exclusions, and basics of program design, premium rating methods and policy audits
  • Responds to client on all facets of customer service including coverage review, analysis and recommendations, quoting and securing coverage, and claims assistance with minimal guidance

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Life & Health license preferred, or the ability to obtain upon hire
  • BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field
  • GBA, CEBS, VBS or other professional insurance designation related to Benefits
  • Experience working with Applied Epic, agency management system
  • Available to travel to both local and long-distance client meetings as needed

The applicable base salary range for this role is $90,100 to $167,900.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
