Emphasys Software is currently seeking an Account Executive (Western United States) to sell into net new accounts (NN), manage and support current client relationships while driving back to base (B2B) sales of our market-leading affordable housing solutions. We are looking for an exceptional salesperson – someone who will create and execute a proactive sales strategy, and who will own new and current client sales in our organization.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Account Executive will create and execute a strategy to generate additional sales for new and current clients.

Strategy: Seek, contact, negotiate and convert new customers to increase Emphasys Software’s footprint with public housing agencies (PHA’s) across the country. This position will be responsible for receiving, responding, and submitting requests for information, pricing, and proposals with potential new customers. It will include reviewing, responding, and executing back-to-base sales plans to ensure a growing share in this market involving short- and long-term sales cycles.

Client Management and Sales: Proactively engage new and current clients and foster consultative relationships. Investigate and manage client accounts to analytically assess needs, highlight products, identify additional sales opportunities and bolster strong customer retention rates. Lead and assist the RFP response process, including product demonstrations. Attend trade shows to build customer rapport and positively represent our brand. Exceed sales quota. Maintain sales data and prepare sales reports.

Cross-Functional Relationships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer success, professional services, development, and support to ensure client satisfaction and seamless transition to new products.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of software sales, client management and/or software support experience required.
  • Experience in government sales, the RFP process, and/or public housing, affordable housing or related areas is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend, disseminate, update, and respond to detailed RFPs for new business opportunities and existing customers. Responsibilities include sales account management through implementation and go-live.
  • Experience presenting business proposals, negotiating opportunities, and structuring deals to software users and decision makers.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with internal and external customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Initiative-taking, entrepreneurial, and competitive individual, who is always looking for the next sales opportunity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, experience utilizing CRM program and tools.
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for building client relationships and supporting sales efforts.
