Job summary

Upright Lending is seeking an Account Executive to manage borrower inquiries, activate outbound leads, and qualify borrowers for loan programs. You will collaborate with the Managing Director and Directors across the full loan lifecycle, from engagement and document collection to post-close communications and servicing, driving branch growth.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in sales or lending, strong communication, and CRM experience.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years in sales, lending, or client-facing roles (SDR, inside sales, or real estate finance preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound leads (applications, calls, emails) and conduct initial borrower discovery.
  • Prequalify borrowers against Upright Lending’s credit parameters using scripts, matrices, and decision-making tools.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document borrower interactions and project details in CRM and LOS systems.
  • Manage outbound call lists with personalized outreach.
  • Schedule qualified borrowers for further engagement with the Director, Lending or Managing Director.
  • Assist in gathering borrower documents, clearing conditions, and ensuring readiness for underwriting and closing.
  • Coordinate servicing communications, including draw scheduling, borrower check-ins, and payment reminders.
  • Support extension and retention efforts to encourage repeat borrowing and long-term borrower relationships.
  • Partner with credit and lending team members to ensure smooth transitions from origination to servicing.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance branch efficiency and borrower experience.

Overview

As an Account Executive at Upright Lending, you are the frontline of borrower engagement, responsible for managing inbound inquiries, activating outbound leads, and qualifying borrowers for Upright Lending’s loan programs.


Your impact extends beyond prequalification. You are a versatile contributor within the branch, working alongside your Managing Director, Directors and Associates across the full loan lifecycle, from borrower engagement and document collection to post-close communications, draw coordination, and retention efforts. Your work directly increases branch capacity, enhances portfolio performance, and drives borrower satisfaction.


This role is ideal for those eager to build a career in real estate finance, with a clear pathway to promotion into Director-level lending roles as you develop origination and portfolio management skills.

Deliver responsive, high-quality borrower engagement and provide end-to-end branch support to maximize pipeline conversion, portfolio performance, and borrower retention, while building the skills needed for advancement into senior lending roles.


Core Responsibilities

Lead Engagement & Borrower Prequalification


  • Respond promptly to inbound leads (applications, calls, emails) and conduct initial borrower discovery (experience, creditworthiness, liquidity, pipeline).

  • Prequalify borrowers against Upright Lending’s credit parameters using scripts, matrices, and decision-making tools

  • Accurately and thoroughly document borrower interactions and project details in CRM and LOS systems.


Pipeline Development & Origination Support


  • Manage outbound call lists (marketing-engaged contacts, past applicants, referrals) with personalized outreach.

  • Schedule qualified borrowers for further engagement with the Director, Lending or Managing Director.

  • Assist in gathering borrower documents, clearing conditions, and ensuring readiness for underwriting and closing.


Servicing & Retention Support


  • Coordinate servicing communications, including draw scheduling, borrower check-ins, and payment reminders.

  • Support extension and retention efforts to encourage repeat borrowing and long-term borrower relationships.


Branch Collaboration & Scaling


  • Partner with credit and lending team members to ensure smooth transitions from origination to servicing.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance branch efficiency and borrower experience.


Key Metrics


  • Lead response time and prequalification conversion rates.

  • Timeliness and accuracy of borrower documentation and closing support.

  • Contribution to branch pipeline growth, servicing efficiency, and borrower satisfaction.

  • Impact on borrower retention and referral generation.
