Job description

The Account Executive is responsible for increasing order and scan volume across all modalities from referring providers in their assigned geographic territory to ensure that the territory exceeds its budgeted same-store growth, scan volume, and revenue commitments. This includes analyzing physician referral patterns to develop customer-level marketing plans, identifying opportunities to increase scan volume with existing referrers, and developing new referral channels. The role also involves managing the assigned expense budget.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Cultivates strong relationships with top strategic referrers to maintain and increase order and scan volume; identifies key customer drivers (turnaround time, quality, etc.); ensures customer needs are met and communicates service deficiencies to the Operations Team to preserve existing scan volume.
  2. Prospects and targets new referrers based on market trends and conditions; uses consultative selling skills to engage new referrers and uncover unmet needs.
  3. Analyzes referral patterns to strategically plan field activities and action plans to drive referrals; monitors variances and trends, working with operations management to address changes.
  4. Collaborates with territory Physician Sales and Operations leadership to establish realistic customer and territory plans that meet budgeted growth, scan volume, and revenue targets.
  5. Identifies risks to the referral base and implements community outreach programs such as educational campaigns, health fairs, and other events to promote awareness.
  6. Participates in operational meetings, providing updates and identifying engagement opportunities for Physician Sales; may participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with key strategic accounts.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  2. Strong business acumen with understanding of sales and physician landscape, including reimbursement.
  3. Proven success in territory development and competitive selling environments.
  4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  5. Travel requirement of 90-95%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 2 years of physician sales and marketing experience in healthcare.
  2. Experience in Imaging and/or Oncology.

Physical Requirements:

Standard office environment; potential exposure to noise and travel. More than 50% of the time involves sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movements, and communicating with patients. Less than 50% involves stooping, kneeling, climbing, balancing, and lifting 10-20 lbs.
