Your Role at Baxter

As a Patient Monitoring and Diagnostics Account Executive at Baxter Healthcare, selling our full Welch Allyn product line portfolio (now part of Baxter), you will apply your successful sales track record to increase new sales within your territory. You will prepare and refine sales plans and forecasts for target market opportunities and coordinate with technical and applications support resources to facilitate sales or sell repair contracts when appropriate.

Working remotely from your home office in the DC or Baltimore, MD area, you will develop and grow sales of legacy Welch Allyn capital equipment and connected solutions, along with other core product categories throughout your territory. With an expert understanding of your customer’s business and value drivers, you will educate customers on product differentiators to enable their success.

  • Home Base: Greater Washington DC/Baltimore, MD
  • Territory: Maryland (north to PA/DE border, east of Frederick including Baltimore and Eastern Shore out to Ocean City), all of DC, Virginia (north of Stafford/Quantico and east of Warrenton)
  • Fleet vehicle provided, when available
What you'll be doing
  • Call on current and prospective acute care customers (hospitals and IDNs) in your assigned territory.
  • Partner with clinical consultants, sales engineers, solutions architects, corporate and strategic accounts, and product management to offer comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
  • Sell the complete line of Welch Allyn products and systems, engaging with stakeholders across various hospital departments.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity prioritization, accurate forecasting, qualification, customer presentations, follow-up, and goal achievement.
  • Develop customer-driven solutions using stand-alone and EMR-connected systems to improve hospital efficiency, patient safety, and outcomes.
  • Utilize data to identify key opportunities, requiring strong analytical skills.
  • Implement consultative selling, uncover unmet needs, and foster a solution-oriented environment.
  • Use marketing communications for promotional activities, advertising, and trade shows to enhance visibility.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience (medical device experience preferred).
  • Experience selling medical equipment with connectivity is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, problem-solving, facilitation, and presentation skills.
We understand compensation is important. This position offers a base salary range of $60,000 to $132,000 plus commission, with actual salary based on skills, experience, location, and business line.
