Job Title: Territory Sales Associate (MA, RI, ME, NH, VT, NY, CT, PA, MD, DE, NJ)
Job Location: Ayer, MA (Primary). Northeast USA (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey)
Department: Sales, Customer Service
Reports To: EVP, Sales
Start Date: FEBUARY/MARCH

Job Overview: We are seeking an energetic and driven Territory Sales Associate to cover a dynamic region across multiple Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states for Creative Materials Inc. This role is essential to fostering growth within existing customer accounts, generating new business opportunities, and driving overall sales performance within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in building relationships, technical sales, developing strategic sales plans, and providing ongoing service to clients. Travel is a key component of this position to maintain regular customer engagement and expand business reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fostering Territory’s Growth at Existing Customers (50%)
  • Initiate and coordinate regular communication with current customers to maintain and grow relationships and opportunities.
  • Travel to existing accounts on a regular basis to increase familiarity with customer needs, gather feedback, and uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships, ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Growing Revenue from New Sources (30%)
  • Prioritize and respond to new business leads via email, telephone, and virtual meetings with a strong emphasis on converting these opportunities into new customer relationships.
  • Travel within the territory to actively prospect and develop business at new accounts.
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target companies, and tailor sales strategies to suit their needs.
  • Analyzing and Reporting on Territory (10%)
  • Run weekly meetings with EVP to review territory performance, including scoreboards, sales progress, and opportunity status.
  • Set and track quarterly sales goals, implementing actionable strategies to achieve targets.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records in CRM software (Salesforce) on customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Analyze existing customer data and sales trends to provide actionable insights into future sales efforts.
  • Collaboration on Processes and Projects (10%)
  • Follow and adjust to established sales workflows and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer support, and operations, to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that aim to improve sales strategies, customer experience, and overall business success.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in sales, with a focus on territory management and B2B sales.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) for tracking customer data and sales activities.
    • Comfort with regular travel within the assigned region.
    • Experience in selling a technical product.
    • Experience in selling materials is ideal.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
    • Team collaboration is a must.

  • Work Environment: A combination of in-field travel and office-based work. The role requires travel within and outside the assigned territory to meet with customers and prospects.
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus commission and performance-based incentives.
