This is a remote position serving the Southern Ohio region, we are currently seeking candidates who reside in or near Columbus, OH or Cincinnati, OH .

Account Executive I

Job Summary:

Manages and acts as primary contact for the successful renewal, retention, and add-on sales of assigned book of business. Facilitates renewal and retention processes and consults and advises on all products, industry trends, and plan functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, brokers, consultants and other external parties and influential partners. External parties include Pharmacy Benefit Managers, vendors and stop loss carriers. Manages client interactions for optimal experience and problem solves where appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains client-specific strategic actions plans, regularly reviewing client needs. Provides feedback on products and services to provide consultative solutions to stay current with industry trend.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources for renewals and new group on boarding for a successful experience.
  • Delivers and presents various standard data and reporting packages to ensure awareness of performance and other status.
  • Coordinates New Client Implementation including attending implementation meetings, employee meetings, preparation of communication pieces, and coordination of internal processes with affected departments and outside vendors.
  • Attends client meetings as necessary to perform strategic account reviews, inform groups of pertinent policy, product or legislative changes and deliver appropriate reports as needed.
  • Offers consultative services based on group data analysis. Prepares, summarizes, and presents suggestions to clients about possible benefit, product and stop loss options.
  • Updates and maintains CRM data as relates book of business and external contacts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Account Executive II

Job Summary:

Facilitates renewal and retention processes and consults and advises on all products, industry trends, and plan functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and sustains relationships with customers and brokers.Responds to inquiries regarding claims, eligibility, plan design and reporting.Analyzes client plans and historical data to enhance client retention and value.
  • Consults on products and industry trends and plan functions, providing possible benefit, product, and funding options.
  • Develops and maintains client-specific strategic action plans, regularly reviewing service needs and trends.
  • Interacts with brokers, consultants, pharmacy benefit managers and vendors on behalf of client. Consults and directs internal areas to support and facilitate all customer needs. Globally identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues independently.
  • Serves as a leader in understanding and leveraging industry trends and innovation and informs groups of pertinent policy, product, and legislative changes.
  • Prepares and analyzes client-specific data to support the renewal process and recommendations, assuming responsibility for the integrity and in-depth analysis of all reports delivered to the client.
  • Mentors the Account Administrators, providing guidance and training.
  • Consults on stop loss options, providing suggestions to brokers, consultants, and clients through thorough understanding of terminology, knowledge of carriers and impact to rates with the ability to do so independently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Account Executive I

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Two years progressive experience in health insurance in a contracts, sales, system testing, benefit administration, claims or customer service capacity.

Professional Certification(s):

  • Accident, Health, and Life License with Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) (required to obtain within 4 months of hire).

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of health insurance products; sales and industry processes including underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design; health care funding arrangements; and related laws/regulations including HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA.
  • Intermediate MS Office Skills.
