Account Executive (Market Research Experience Req'd)

Our client provides consultants and investors with access to quantitative survey insights on a daily basis. Their clients leverage their custom-built platform and survey engineering team to launch surveys and gather insights faster than their competition.

They are currently seeking an experienced (and awesome) Account Executive to join their team. If you aren't a self-proclaimed rock star sales pro, then you need not apply. Our client has a great culture and a "work hard, play hard" mentality. This role is fully remote, with preference to candidates on the Eastern or Central Time Zones, but you would never know it by the culture and tight-knit group that you'd be working with. The company meets up multiple times a year for that much-needed face time with colleagues.

As the Account Executive, you will:

  • Generate and convert demand at target accounts
  • Act as both a hunter (cold-calling, new business development) as well as farming (account management)
  • Perform lead generation
  • Respond to inbound interest from target accounts
  • Qualify inbound leads
  • Build network and generate demand for our client through city visits (especially East Coast - NYC, Boston, and DC)
  • Identify and meet with churned users – past users at new accounts
  • Identify and meet with lapsed users at target accounts
  • Ask for referrals – from new users, current customers, lapsed, internal, etc.
  • Generate targeted new leads via cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Attend industry conferences (in partnership with senior exec or AM when possible) to identify new leads
  • Host excellent discovery calls with clear agendas and next steps
  • Keep contact and deal records up-to-date in CRM (HubSpot)
  • Host prospective client demos (in partnership with Sales Engineer or team lead)
  • Provide pricing and quotes, track and manage opportunities in the CRM (HubSpot)
  • Add non-current prospects to nurture paths (sequences, workflows)
  • Client handoff / collaboration with Operations Team
  • Hand off new customer/deals upon closing to team leads (delivery/Ops), schedule kickoff calls
  • Follow up (ideally in-person) with new users at target accounts (feeds back into lead gen)

As the Account Executive, your background should include:

  • 3-5 years in an account executive role performing new business development and account management duties in a client-facing capacity
  • Experience in end-to-end sales (inception to close) is required
  • Required experience selling to one of the following: consulting companies, private equity funds, or market research companies (must have)
