Job description

The CBS Station’s Local Ad Sales team is responsible for driving all local core & political revenue growth across all Paramount Global streaming & digital assets as well as the 27 owned & operated CBS Television Stations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Political Account Executive to join our Political team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving streaming political ad revenue across our portfolio of streaming platforms, inclusive of Paramount+, CBS, Pluto TV, and more. This role requires positive relationship & time management skills, a deep understanding of the political advertising landscape, and the ability to complete sales strategies & outstanding client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and implement political streaming campaigns for national, state, and local campaigns through all direct reservation and programmatic buying lanes.
  • Develop and manage relationships with political agencies, PACs, campaign media buyers, and advocacy groups.
  • Create, present and negotiate customized advertising packages.
  • Analyze political ad spending trends and provide market insights across all races.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular performance reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure flawless campaign execution.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and internal policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3-5 years of experience in advertising/media, with streaming sales experience preferred.
  • Strong strategic sales skills and business insight.
  • Highly accountable with strong integrity and ethics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about political ad sales and prospecting new business.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and quickly develop product knowledge.
  • Deep industry relationships with political buyers and advocacy groups a plus.
  • Expertise in broadcast, digital, and/or streaming sales with a data-driven approach.
  • Proven negotiation and strategic planning skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 130,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
