Account Executive (Outside Sales)

We protect the protectors. This is not a typical 9‑to‑5 sales role. It’s a calling focused on building trust and confidence, not pushing hard.
The role
Most days you’ll be earning attention before you earn the sale. You’ll visit ranges, retailers, and training partners to educate people about self‑defense, training, and liability protection while earning USCCA membership.

- The instructor’s peer – trusted, authentic, and experienced.
- The neighbor at the range – gives clear, concise answers.
- The educator – walks newcomers through scenarios responsibly.
- The trusted advisor – often recommended by instructors.
- The quiet closer – knows when a member is ready to decide.
Territory, Schedule & Travel
Based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Requires evenings and weekends. Approximately 70 % travel within the territory; stays home nightly with minimal exceptions.
Responsibilities
- Build a local presence and develop relationships with gun ranges, retailers, instructors, and small‑business partners.
- Deliver engaging group presentations after concealed carry classes.
- Educate individuals on training, education, and self‑defense liability protection.
- Close USCCA memberships using consultative, ethical sales techniques.
- Own and grow your pipeline through prospecting, nurturing, and consistent presence.
- Deliver an outstanding member experience beyond the sale.
Compensation & Earnings
Base Pay: $70,000/year, guaranteed first 12 months.
Commission: 12% flat on new memberships and spousal add‑ons, payable after 90 days of active membership, paid on the 10th of the fourth month after sale.

Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass State Property & Casualty Insurance exam (training provided).
- Strong professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Self‑driven, organized, and accountable.
Preferred
- Field or outside sales experience.
- Proven territory growth through prospecting and pipeline management.
- Confident, persuasive presentation skills.
- Strong closing ability.
- Experience in the firearms industry highly desirable.
- Firearms instructor certification or interest in becoming certified.
- Basic proficiency with Salesforce and Google Workspace.
