Job summary

FifthColor is seeking an Account Executive Intern to work onsite in Sheboygan Falls, WI, May 2027 through August 2027. You will be mentored while engaging in real client projects, supporting account operations and strategic initiatives within a bold, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications or related field, for the duration of the internship.
• Quick, resourceful, flexible and a strong team player with solid analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Heightened attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and intellectually curious.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the account team on day-to-day client business, including status tracking, follow-ups, and issue resolution.
• Attend client and internal meetings; capture notes, draft recaps, and track action items to completion.
• Conduct competitive, category, and audience research to inform creative briefs and strategic recommendations.
• Maintain internal account management platforms, project files, and brand asset libraries.
• Support automation and analytics initiatives that improve account team efficiency and reporting.
• Contribute to new business efforts, including pitch materials, RFP responses, and case studies.
• Collaborate with the account team on strategic planning and campaign execution.
• Deliver a program-long strategic project of direct value to the Account Strategy team.

Program Overview

FifthColor’s Account Executive Internship Program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing client relationships, supporting account operations and contributing to strategic initiatives while contributing to meaningful work that supports FifthColor’s growth. As a full-service, independent, omnichannel agency with all our experts under one roof, FifthColor is committed to developing early career talent and building a strong pipeline for future full-time roles.

As an Account Executive Intern, you will contribute to initiatives that help deliver distinguished service to the clients FifthColor partners with. Working alongside experienced account managers and strategists, you will gain exposure to how client relationships, strategy and cross functional collaboration come together to build brands that get remembered.
