Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position will reside in the Central or Eastern Time Zone and be willing to travel primarily in the Eastern Time Zone (USA).

The Account Executive III is responsible for achieving sales and/or profitability objectives from both existing accounts and new client prospects. Account Executives meet with clients and prospects to recognize opportunities and turn leads into long-lasting partnerships. With extensive product knowledge and understanding of industry trends, Account Executives communicate directly with clients and prospects to understand their individual needs and recommend products or services to help clients attain their goals.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Meet in person with clients and prospects. 30%
  2. Participate in prospecting activities: lead generation, qualifying prospects, discovery, and demonstrating solutions. Manage multiple accounts while seeking new opportunities. 20%
  3. Achieve assigned sales targets. 10%
  4. Manage contracts and up-sell/cross-sell opportunities. 10%
  5. Deepen existing client relationships—generating incremental business. 10%
  6. Consult with clients on business issues and marketing program design. Understand client needs, negotiate costs and services, resolve sales or delivery issues. 10%
  7. Work with Strategists and Delivery Teams to execute project specifications and deliver quality results. Develop proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations. 5%
  8. Sell with data and insights. 5%

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Preferred) or equivalent education & work experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • 7-10 years in a quota-carrying sales role; demonstrated ability to close new business and manage relationships.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing disciplines.
  • Recent sales experience within a financial services vendor company; marketing discipline preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience and proficiency in Marketing, Media, Advertising.
  • Selling through creating a compelling vision or story; use of data and insights as a selling tool; prospecting and managing client relationships; selling multiple/integrated product campaigns; understanding client markets and strategic needs.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability and willingness to travel (50%).
  • Ability to interpret marketplace needs and translate into products/services.
  • Adaptability to change in market, products, and internal initiatives.
  • Deliver formal/high impact presentations.
  • Display Emotional (EQ) and Cognitive (IQ) Intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong client solution selling and targeting skills; minimal support needed to sell or close business.
  • Innovative, analytical, strategic thinking.
  • Manage client expectations effectively.
  • Proficient in solution selling and closing opportunities.
  • Track record of exceeding sales quotas and objectives.
  • Skills in problem resolution, overcoming objections, initiative, conceptual selling, negotiation, and managing priorities.

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software; aptitude to learn new systems.

DECISION MAKING

This role requires interpreting financial information, exercising judgment, creativity, and innovation to solve problems and determine best solutions aligned with client goals.

Additional Information

Base Salary: $98,000 - $120,000

Total compensation includes a generous commission program.

Final compensation depends on skill level, experience, responsibilities, and location.
