Job summary

Liberty Dental Plan is seeking an Account Executive II to manage a portfolio of clients and drive strategic account growth for dental benefits programs. You will build trusted relationships, lead renewal activities, and collaborate with Claims, Eligibility, Provider Relations, and Finance to deliver superior service.

You have a bachelor's degree and at least four years of health insurance account management experience; dental benefits knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in health insurance account management, client services, employee benefits, or a related field.
  • Dental or ancillary benefits industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead contact for day-to-day client service and strategic account support.
  • Develop and execute relationship management strategies aligned with each client's business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze plan utilization, performance trends, and client needs to provide proactive recommendations and solutions.
  • Lead renewal activities, including developing and presenting renewal options, benefit design changes, and pricing strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams including Claims, Eligibility, Provider Relations, and Finance to resolve escalated issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction, improve plan performance, and expand service offerings.
  • Facilitate client meetings, quarterly business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Support open enrollment strategies, employee education initiatives, and presentation development.
  • Maintain accurate client records, service documentation, and renewal milestones within company systems.
  • Monitor contractual performance expectations and ensure service commitments are achieved.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in client service and account management best practices.

Role Overview

The Account Executive II serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. In this role, you'll build strong client relationships, proactively identify opportunities for enhancement and growth, and collaborate across departments to ensure exceptional service delivery and long-term client success.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in health insurance account management, client services, employee benefits, or a related field.
  • Experience managing mid-sized or complex client accounts strongly preferred.
  • Dental or ancillary benefits industry experience is a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of group health and dental insurance concepts, including underwriting, plan design, compliance, and claims operations.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and consultative account management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.

Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
