What is your impact?
The Account Executive I is responsible for managing and directing the front‑line relationship with clients including, but not limited to, key decision makers – HR leadership, distributors (brokers), and C‑level partners, and coordinating internal staff delivering the total healthcare benefit solution. The Account Executive is responsible for managing the strategic partnership with the clients and all vendors/consultants involved, performing analysis and assessment of the benefit plan, recommending strategies and solutions, ensuring superior service levels and plan effectiveness, overall retention of the business, and upselling WebTPA products where appropriate.
What Will You Be Doing:
- Key Client Management and Strategy: Manage a block of clients – generally mid‑sized employers, build and maintain an effective feedback infrastructure to gather critical intelligence on client satisfaction from all sources related to the client's total product/service delivery system, analyze and evaluate client's plan performance and seek upsell opportunities, build strong business relationships with clients and distribution networks, maintain a thorough understanding of client's objectives, lead cross‑functional teams to design, plan, configure, and implement products and services, schedule and lead client/delivery team meetings, review and assess clients' benefit plans, and ensure client compliance with federally and state mandated requirements.
- Key Client Support: Build and maintain a strong understanding of product/service delivery systems, respond to client inquiries within 24 hours, and create a proactive communication strategy with clients and related parties.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain familiarity with WebTPA reporting and analysis tools adequate to report plan performance metrics.
- Work as a responsible team member supporting projects relating to problem resolution, research, implementations, enrollments, and renewals.
- Assure delivery of fully executed client contracts including ASA, plan documents, compliance, network, PBM, and BAA.
Qualifications
- 5+ years related work experience in health insurance and benefits administration, working directly with clients and distribution networks in a healthcare benefit environment.
- Related Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- General Lines license – life, accident, health, and HMO (LAH).
- Detailed knowledge of Healthcare Reform.
- Extensive experience in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; writing samples may be requested.
- Comfortable working and communicating across operational areas within the organization.
- Ability to present to clients and executives confidently.
- Managing the message to the intended audience consistent with business objectives.
- Negotiating skills.
- Extremely driven with the ability to self‑manage.
- Ability to analyse and identify problems/issues and propose high‑performing solutions.
- Ability to segment and prioritise workload based on time sensitivities and critical success factors.
- Well‑developed project management skills.
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required occasionally.
Physical/Environmental Activities
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e., attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally.
