Global Partnerships at The IRONMAN Group

Reporting to the Manager of Expo and Event Sales, the Account Executive, Expo Sales will be responsible for driving Expo revenue across The IRONMAN Group's properties within their assigned regions. This role involves prospecting, client development, and achieving sales targets to support revenue growth and profitability, aligning with company objectives.

Based in Tampa, FL, the position requires engaging in prospecting, research, and client outreach, maintaining sales activity logs, and developing new sales ideas. The role also entails attending trade shows, hosting meetings, and collaborating with the Partnership Activation team to ensure successful event experiences.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Researching and prospecting to identify sales leads
  2. Achieving individual sales targets
  3. Understanding event markets and audience demographics
  4. Maintaining knowledge of brands and sales drivers
  5. Conducting daily outreach and follow-ups
  6. Logging sales activities and complying with contract processes
  7. Reviewing weekly sales reports
  8. Developing new sales ideas and programs
  9. Targeting prospects within assigned regions
  10. Preparing proposals and attending trade shows
  11. Hosting client meetings and collaborating on event planning
  12. Ensuring sponsor/vendor satisfaction and growing client programs
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Tampa, FL
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel occasionally
Preferred qualifications:
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in sponsorship or event sales
  • Experience with sales tracking systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience in mass participation events or large-scale event management
