Job description

Position Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for an integrated logistics company, a global leader in shipping services operating in 100+ countries, the Account Executive will be responsible for the strategic development of new and assigned clients for domestic/ground freight forwarding services. The role involves leveraging industry experience to onboard new accounts and grow existing customers. This position offers the opportunity to work with highly professional teams in a dynamic environment.

Background Required:
  • International/domestic freight forwarding sales (2+ years)
  • Multimodal: Air & ocean freight, LTL, TL, Expedite, 2nd day, next day
  • Proven success in growing a sales territory
  • Deep understanding of local markets and target customers
  • Prospecting & account development
  • CRM management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Residence in Greater Detroit, MI area
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Freight forwarding operations
  • Small to mid-size account management
  • Bachelor’s degree
