Description
HawkEye 360 is seeking an accomplished sales and business development professional to lead sales efforts with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The DoD Account Executive is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to achieve HE360's revenue targets within the DoD. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and capturing new business opportunities, expanding key DoD customer relationships, and driving sales growth within the defense sector.
Location: This position is based in Herndon, Virginia.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve corporate revenue objectives.
- Identify, qualify, shape, and secure strategically relevant long-term business opportunities within the DoD.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key DoD stakeholders, including senior leadership, procurement officials, and operational end users.
- Drive account growth by understanding DoD mission challenges and delivering high-impact solutions that leverage HawkEye 360's capabilities.
- Develop and execute account plans that foster sustainable business growth within the defense sector.
- Expand business partnerships within the defense ecosystem to enhance market reach and increase revenue opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and evolving DoD procurement strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent HawkEye 360 at defense-related conferences, trade association meetings, and industry events to promote company products and capabilities.
- Collaborate across company functions—including finance, legal, engineering, and product development—to ensure seamless execution of business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential education and experience:
- 8+ years of sales, business development, and/or Account Management experience selling technology, data, and analytics solutions into US defense markets.
- Experience in government contracting and acquisition mechanisms, including understanding of procurement law and regulation.
- Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
- Experience establishing and managing sales channels and strategic partnerships.
- Experience with data analytics.
- Basic understanding of RF technologies, data, and applications in government and commercial markets.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical capabilities to customer problems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and accountable for results.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining sales presentations and reports in Microsoft Office.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Desirable:
- Experience selling technology solutions to DoD combatant commands, services, or agencies.
- Military or defense industry background with understanding of operational requirements and mission priorities.
- Experience with remote sensing, SIGINT, ELINT, GIS, and GEOINT solutions.
- Ability to navigate defense acquisition programs and influence requirements development.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales operations best practices.
Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $185,000 - $230,000 annually
