Job summary

5W Public Relations is seeking an Account Executive to join our Corporate practice. The ideal candidate will have worked with Corporate or B2B-focused clients within an agency setting, excels at pitching, and possesses strong account and time management skills.

The role will be based in Florida locations (Miami or Tampa) with a hybrid work model. You’ll manage client programs, develop media materials, and drive results while mentoring junior staff and contributing to new business conversations.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A in Public Relations or related field.
• 2-3 years of PR agency experience, corporate space preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.
• Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media to ensure placements.
• Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall PR strategy.
• Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
• Create and develop pro-active pitch ideas for clients based on industry and current trends.
• Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as experts in their field.
• Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
• Assist in the research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.
