Role Overview

As an Account Executive (AE), you will work with high-profile clients to create innovative campaigns. You will support communications plan development, research, client tracking, reporting, and media outreach to various media outlets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with a strong media relations background and awareness of consumer and industry trends, especially in retail and fashion.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage client service activities including account management, media relations, trend monitoring, research, and planning.
  2. Support multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, including creating media materials.
  3. Understand key client information such as business strategy, industry news, products, and competitors.
  4. Research, write, edit, and proofread materials like pitches, media lists, key messages, fact sheets, and briefing documents.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with media contacts across verticals.
  6. Support media outreach, story development, pitch creation, media monitoring, and staffing interviews.
  7. Assist in executing press trips, media events, and brand activations, including logistics and reporting.
  8. Exercise sound judgment, show initiative, and engage in creative problem-solving.
  9. Analyze media coverage and online conversations to gauge public sentiment.
  10. Align behaviors with Edelman’s values and ethics.
  11. Commit to continuous learning and skill development.
  12. Set and pursue challenging goals, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and media savvy.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Interest in retail and fashion industries.
  • Strong research, writing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of media outreach and digital strategies.
  • Agency or retail brand experience preferred.
  • Proactive, organized, adaptable, and deadline-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and grow in the industry.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $55,000 - $68,000 annually, based on experience and other factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
