The Opportunity at Komodo Health:

At Komodo Health, we’re looking for an Area Vice President, Sales to lead and expand our partnerships within theFinancial Servicessector. In this role, you’ll be a key player in driving strategic partnerships with financial services firms, including private equity (PE), venture capital (VC), and investment management firms, that target the healthcare ecosystem. As part of our growing sales team, you will:

  • Build and nurture relationshipswith financial services firms and investors who are looking to engage with healthcare-related opportunities.
  • Expand our Financial Services Partnerships businessby effectively engaging decision-makers within the PE, VC, and investment management sectors, offering them the right suite of Komodo solutions to address their specific needs and objectives.
  • Drive education and adoptionof Komodo’s Healthcare Map and Technology Solutions to the financial services market, demonstrating their value in making more informed healthcare investments.
  • Own sales targetsfor new and assigned accounts, focusing on expanding the depth of partnerships and ensuring the adoption of Komodo’s solutions.

What You Will Accomplish in the First 12 Months:

  • Achieve or exceed sales targetsby educating the Financial Services market on Komodo’s offerings, specifically in relation to healthcare data and analytics.
  • Develop a deep understandingof Komodo’s product suite and the distinct value it brings to the Financial Services industry.
  • Establish multiple relationshipswith key decision-makers at financial services firms, laying the foundation for long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate Komodo’s value propositioneffectively to financial services clients, before and after the deal execution, ensuring clarity on how our solutions address their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with clientsto design and deliver data-driven solutions that solve a range of business challenges, especially those related to healthcare investment opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationshipswith key stakeholders at financial services firms, driving new business development through strategic account management and tailored solutions.
  • Support business developmentby creating customized proposals that include solution design, analytics, insights platforms, timelines, and budget considerations.
  • Work closely with internal teams(Product, Customer Success, Engineering) to ensure our healthcare data and technology solutions address the most pressing questions within the financial services industry, delivering measurable ROI.
  • Track and manage sales activitiesin Salesforce, maintaining an accurate pipeline and sales funnel to drive internal resource allocation and prioritize business development efforts.

What You Bring to Komodo Health:

  • Proven track recordin identifying, qualifying, and selling new enterprise business solutions, particularly in data, technology, and software, within the financial services sector.
  • History of consistently exceeding sales quotasrelated to new business development and revenue generation in the Financial Services industry.
  • Understanding of healthcare claimsand how the financial services sector uses them for investment guidance.
  • Expertise in financial services, including an in-depth understanding of investment workflows and processes (private equity, venture capital, investment management) as they relate to healthcare investments.
  • Proven ability to build relationshipswith senior decision-makers (including C-suite executives) in financial services firms, fostering long-term business partnerships.
  • Experience in developing business strategiesspecifically for financial services firms to enhance their investment decisions in healthcare-related opportunities.
  • Natural curiosityand ability to solve unstructured problems, particularly when it comes to delivering value to financial services clients.
  • Exceptional presentation skillswith the ability to structure and present client deliverables (in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other formats), clearly telling the story supported by data and insights.
  • Passion for healthcare, life sciences, data, and technology, with a genuine interest in how these sectors intersect with financial services.
  • Strong decision-making skillsand the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Outstanding communication skills(both written and verbal) with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple, compelling manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite.

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of annual base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.

The starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position is also eligible for commissions in accordance with a written agreement or plan. This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy.

San Francisco Bay Area and New York City:

$140,000 - $180,000 USD

All Other US Locations:

$140,000 - $180,000 USD

Where You’ll Work

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model ; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
