The Change Company is seeking an Account Executive to proactively solicit and analyze mortgage loan applications for purchase or refinance in a fully remote role with an Anaheim, CA presence. You'll interview clients, explain options, and prepare comprehensive lending packages.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in lending, an NMLS license (or ability to obtain), and strong communication, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of lending or related field experience required.
  • NMLS license and state licensing (or ability to obtain within 90 days) required.

# Account ExecutiveFully Remote • Anaheim-CL Branch - Anaheim, CA 92808## DescriptionAbout The RoleThe Wholesale Account Executive is responsible for soliciting, analyzing, negotiating and verifying mortgage loan applications for the purchase or refinance of residential real estate. Spends more than 50% of the work time away from place of business soliciting new loans. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities as requested. Job duties may change as required by needs of the company.* Observable display of a sense of urgency in the execution of duties* Meets with and interviews potential and current clients to understand their lending needs including first-time mortgages and refinance of existing loans.* Demonstrates knowledge and communicates effectively regarding mortgage options.* Explains the differences between and approval requirements of various types of mortgages; prepares and presents a lending package based on client specifications.* Assists clients with completion of mortgage applications, inspecting completed documents for accuracy and thoroughness.* Reviews loan applications, gathers credit histories and reports, and completes initial assessment of applicants’ capacity to repay and default risk.* Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market; current and predicted lending rates; and changes in rules, regulations, and best practices of various mortgages.* Develops and maintains contacts with customers, local realtors, developers, and builders to promote and encourage the use of bank services for residential mortgages.* Ensures all originations processes are in accordance with CHM policies, procedures and state and federal regulatory laws.* Maintain and protect all confidential and personal private information gathered in course of performing job duties.* Other duties as assigned## QualificationsQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Bachelor's degree preferred* 1 to 3 years prior experience in lending or related field.* Must have NMLS license and applicable state licensing or ability to obtain licensing within 90 days and the ability to maintain those licenses.* Thorough understanding of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal National Mortgage (Fannie Mae), Federal Housing Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) and other types of conventional and non-conventional loans.* Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti- Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and all other state and federal regulatory laws.* Intermediate math skills to effectively comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Effective business writing, time management and organizational skills* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment* Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and in a team environment* Strong organizational skills and ability to handle detailed assignments* Ability to prioritize workload while meeting deadlines* Ability to communicate in writing and verbally effectivelyNoteThis job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required for the position.
