The luxurious Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is seeking an Account Director, Leisure to join our Sales team.

Set on 40 acres of lush tropical gardens, this Forbes 4-Star, AAA 4-Diamond property boasts 780 rooms, 100,000 sq ft of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets, including 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a cafe, and in-room dining.

This role focuses on wholesale and consortia markets.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of leisure sales experience. Preference will be given to those with client knowledge, island familiarity, previous Maui experience, and experience with consortia and luxury markets. Delphi FDC experience is a plus. This is a remote-based role.

As an Account Director, Leisure, your responsibilities include researching, developing, and soliciting new FIT and Group Tour business, while maintaining existing account relationships. Key duties involve:

• Traveling to meet clients, develop business, negotiate contracts, conduct site inspections, and close deals.
• Meeting and entertaining clients, conducting property tours, participating in trade shows, and industry events to promote our facilities and services.
• Interviewing, training, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and evaluating staff.

• Experience in hotel sales, catering, or marketing
• Leadership and management experience
• Ability to travel
• Experience in hotel management or related industry
• Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
