Job description

Hotel: Corp Atlanta Ravinia, Three Ravinia Drive, Suite 100, 30346

The Account Director – Groups & Meetings is primarily responsible to strategically identify, develop and manage new business and sales opportunities for IHG brands. A significant portion of this role will be to uncover new accounts within the defined territory that can drive additional revenue opportunities to IHG hotels around the globe that would be identified for a future Managed IHG account.

Your day to day

  • Actively seek and develop new business opportunities of accounts to maximize market share and revenues;
  • Business Development to uncover new accounts in territory that drive additional valuable revenue opportunities.
  • Assess accounts and their opportunities, as a result create account plans as per the IHG template and execute strategies and tactics to drive revenue and market share
  • Network within the accounts to find those key decision makers, their support staff and other relationship opportunities
  • Gather information on current and prospective clients / contacts to generate incremental business
  • Work with the appropriate Hotels to ensure clear communication of expectations and goals. For each account, as appropriate, develop a network of support at key hotels ensuring close working relationships with hotel management and sales staff

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Marketing, Management, Business, Hospitality or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in the US market, deep understanding of managing across cultural teams and cultural client interactions.
  • Demonstrated sales management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale sales segment plans from conception through implementation
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Must be able to work effectively at board level in client companies, possess strong relationship management skills, and well-developed negotiating and persuading abilities
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and hold a high-level understanding of operating in an owned managed and franchised environment. Experience with franchise organization or ownership constituencies is preferable. International experience or handling accounts with international scope is required

Travel– up to 50%

The salary range for this role is $58,834.00 to $93,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable).We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
